It’s anything but an easy task against arguably the best defensive line in the NFL, but Buffalo’s men up front are going to have to get a more consistent surge at the line of scrimmage than they did in their first meeting with the Jets back in Week 3.
“We have to do a better job,” Marrone told Buffalobills.com. “We have to put our players in position where they can make plays. Sometimes when it’s the one-on-one matchups you have to see how can you put two guys on one and things like that.
“They’re playing really well up front. Muhammad Wilkerson is having an All-Pro type of year. Sheldon Richards on is playing well. They give you a lot of problems up front so we’ve got to make sure that we can block those guys, block the pressure. A lot of times they zeroed (coverage) us in the last game so it doesn’t matter how many people are blocking there’s someone coming free and we have to be able to get rid of the ball and make a play.”
