Bills head coach Doug Marrone indicated on Monday that he felt Stevie Johnson would be ready to return to the lineup in Week 13 against Atlanta after missing last Sunday’s game with a groin injury. Johnson confirmed that assessment Tuesday.
“I’ll definitely be suited up. I think I’ll be much better than what I was this past week,” said Johnons. “I’m optimistic about it.”
Johnson will be staying in town through the bye week to continue his rehabilitation work to get his body in top form for the stretch run of the season.
“With my situation it’s definitely a good time for the bye week,” he said. “Get another week to try to strengthen my core and get these little nagging injuries out of the way. Hopefully I can come back and make a strong push for these next five (games).”
