DAILY REPORT
– The Buffalo Bills were defeated by the Atlanta Falcons 34-31 in overtime on Sunday at Rogers Centre in Toronto. The Bills are now 4-8 on the season. The Bills were led on offense by their dynamic duo at running back. RB C.J. Spiller had a season high 149 rushing yards on 15 carries, including a career long 77-yard rush and scored on a 36-yard scamper in the 4th quarter. RB Fred Jackson scored two touchdowns on the day, one on the ground and one through the air. With seven rushing touchdowns on the season, Jackson has set a new career-high. Rookie QB EJ Manuel also turned in a solid afternoon, going 18 for 32 for 210 yards and the touchdown to Jackson. Manuel also had his first career rushing touchdown as he was able to get in from one yard out on the opening drive for the Bills. The defense continued to excel in getting pressure on the quarterback, as they tallied six sacks on the day. LB Jerry Hughes had two sacks on the day and now has 8.0 on the season. DE Mario Williams recorded the 75th sack of his career and his 12th of the season. LB Kiko Alonso once again led the team in tackles with 13 for the game. He is now at 125 tackles in his rookie season. He also had a fumble recovery in the third quarter, which led to a touchdown.

For the Falcons, QB Matt Ryan went 28 for 47 for 311 yards and one touchdown. WR Roddy White was the main target for Ryan on the day as he hauled in 10 passes for 143 yards. RB Steven Jackson rushed 23 times for 84 yards and two touchdowns on the day. K Matt Bryant hit a 36 yard field goal three minutes in to overtime to give the Falcons the victory.

QUOTE OF THE DAY
EJ MANUEL, Buffalo Bills Quarterback
Q: Can you talk about the running game in today’s game and how much Fred and CJ played a part of that?
A: Not just Fred and CJ but also the whole line. They really wanted to get the running game started for us, they did an awesome job. Starting upfront with Eric Wood, our anchor down front and he did an awesome job. Along with the other front four guys. Of course Fred and CJ made some huge runs and we got it going today but it wasn’t enough.
