Bills QB EJ Manuel finished the game without any issues Sunday in the win over Jacksonville. But on Monday head coach Doug Marrone found out Manuel was in Buffalo’s training room getting treatment this morning.
“EJ sprained his knee, went through the whole game and he should be okay,” said Marrone. “I don’t know the percentage of it. I didn’t realize it until this morning, I was told when he came in for treatment. That’s why normally you’ve got to watch both ways. I don’t know when it happened.
Manuel has played with a knee brace on his right knee ever since he suffered a sprained LCL in the Week 5 game against Cleveland that forced him to miss four games.
In Sunday’s game he sprained his left knee, the one he injured in the preseason game against Minnesota that forced him to miss two weeks of practice and the final two preseason games.
“He just wanted to get treatment on it and then all of a sudden everyone gets nervous,” said Marrone. “But I don’t feel that way. I really don’t. I don’t feel like it’s going to be anything and we have time. He’s already preparing for Miami watching tape.”
