The Bills Backers of New York City is among the best Backers chapters in the country, with hundreds of transplanted Bills fans packing both McFadden’s and Calico Jack’s in Midtown Manhattan each gameday. Their incredible organization and participation are much a testament to their co-founders and presidents, Matt Kabel and Matt Soreco.

Kabel’s daughter Sally was diagnosed with Leukemia when she was 10 months old, and is in the midst of a two year journey through difficult treatments. On the Sweet Sally Sunshine blog, Kabel shares updates on her progress and describes Sally as a “beautiful, spunky, always smiling and most of all TOUGH little daughter” who’s remained upbeat along with her family through this bump in her life’s journey.

“I’m sure I can speak for Matt Kabel when I say that the outpouring of support from Bills Nation has been tremendous,” said Soreco. “It shows that we are not only bonded by the team we never cease to root for, but also by genuine love and compassion.”

Kabel, Soreco and all of the Backers in New York City continuously give so much to the Bills organization and to our cherished community of dedicated fans away from home, and we want to give back to the Kabel family on their road through Sally’s treatment.
