Hafley has New York state ties

Posted by Chris Brown on January 16, 2014 – 1:05 pm

Bills newly hired defensive assistant Jeff Hafley has some ties to New York state.

A New Jersey native, Hafley played his college ball at Siena where he was a wide receiver. He also coached at the University of Albany for four seasons.

Hafley has worked primarily with defensive backs in his 13 years of coaching, working most notably with Darrelle Revis in college at Pitt and with Tampa Bay the past two seasons.

Where exactly his duties will lie on the defensive side of the ball will be determined at a future date by head coach Doug Marrone.
