Bills Hall of Fame QB Jim Kelly will be the keynote speaker at the Paul Hornung Award Banquet next Tuesday in Louisville. Asked to speak by his former college coach Howard Schnellenberger, Kelly also participated in a Q&A with the Louisville Courier-Journal in advance of the event and provided an update on his health less than a year after being diagnosed with cancer in his jaw.
Kelly said he is in good shape health-wise at this point.
“So far so good,” Kelly said. “The cancer has not come back. In the last two years I’ve had major back surgery, neck surgery, double hernia surgery and four jaw surgeries. I feel like the Six Million Dollar Man and change.”
