The Cleveland Browns are interested in interviewing Bills linebackers coach Jim O’Neil reportedly for their defensive coordinator post under Mike Pettine. Buffalo reportedly has until tomorrow to let Cleveland know if they’re going to get permission.
That according to NFL.com’s Ian Rapaport, who also reported a potential replacement candidate for the Browns if O’Neil is not allowed to interview.
#Bills have til Mon to decide if they’ll allow DC candidate Jim O’Neil to take CLE job. If not, Ravens LB coach Don Martindale is a target

The Bills presumably want to let new defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz speak with O’Neil to ascertain whether they can work together effectively on defense.
