With Pepper Johnson agreeing to terms to become the Bills new defensive line coach, most Bills fans know his ties to Bill Belichick, but he’s also crossed paths with Bills defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz.
Johnson and Schwartz spent three years together under Belichick when the current Patriots was coach was the sideline boss of the Browns.
From 1993-1995 Johnson was playing for the Browns as he was in the middle of a long and productive career. Meanwhile Schwartz was working for the Browns as a college and pro scout and handling a bunch of research projects for Belichick.
It’s not unreasonable to think the two will speak a similar football language.
