NFL.com reporter Ian Rapaport is reporting that Eagles QB Michael Vick is drawing interest from one of Buffalo’s AFC East division rivals.
Rapaport is reporting that the Jets are interested in possibly acquiring the veteran quarterback. Here’s was what he said about it on NFL Network.
“I’m told the New York Jets are a realistic possible landing spot for Michael Vick for a couple of reasons,” said Rapaport. “One, they want someone to come in and push Geno Smith every day in practice and kind of help him be a little more professional. It doesn’t sound like they want to do it on a long term basis. Also offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg and Vick still have a lot of mutual respect from their Eagles days together, so a realistic possibility, but they’re not the only team interested in Vick.”
Vick is set to become an unrestricted free agent March 11th.
