Bills newest RB Anthony Dixon officially signed his contract with Buffalo on Saturday after agreeing to terms late Friday. Dixon is largely viewed as a power back, which he’ll readily admit, but don’t sell the rest of his game short.
“I’m definitely a power back, but I have that sneaky speed,” said Dixon. “Some guys don’t think or don’t know that I’m fast like I am, but I have quickness.”
Dixon ran in the mid-4.6’s leading up to the 2010 NFL draft, but it’s his one-cut and go style that gets him in and out of space quicker than some might expect. And while he hasn’t really factored into the San Francisco pass game at all in his first four NFL season he did have 56 receptions in college at Mississippi State, including four for touchdowns.
“I can do it all, I’m very versatile,” he said. “I have good hands and I’m just looking to come down here and put it all on display. Definitely want to show what I’m worth.”
