Jim stepped out for a lighter night in New York City yesterday amid many heavier times while he sets to begin his cancer treatments at Lenox Hill Hospital. He and his family were at Madison Square Garden to watch the Knicks take on the Washington Wizards.
When asked how he’s feeling, he told Jill Martin “sometimes good, sometimes bad,” but that he took tonight to surprise his daughter Erin with tickets to the game because she was named to the Dean’s List as a freshman at Liberty College.
“There’s been such a big outpouring of prayers – which I definitely need – and support, not only from the people of Western New York but from all over,” he said. “It makes me feel good that so many people are praying for me.”
What he called his “big fight” with chemo and radiation starts on Monday.
