We start a new week, counting down the days until the 2014 NFL Draft. Sports Illustrated’s Don Banks joins the show to discuss his recent mock draft. Banks has the Bills taking Michigan offensive tackle, Taylor Lewan at the number 9 spot.
Banks also touches on the quarterbacks in the draft and thinks there could be a scenario where the first QB taken off the board could be outside the top ten.
On Monday, Buffalo Bills lead journalist Chris Brown unveiled his latest installment of On the Clock: Kiko’s story-drafting a rookie of the year
One college scout for the Bills played a major role in scouting the linebacker from Oregon. Matt Hand joined the show to talk about that process and how Kiko surprised everyone in his rookie year.
“It’s a guy you’ve been following since (last) May. He comes in and he’s an instant impact for us, a piece of the puzzle to putting together a championship football team. We knew we were getting a good player but Kiko played better than anyone thought he was going to play.”
In last block of the show, Bills wide receiver Chris Hogan joined the show to talk about his offseason training, his anticipation of rejoining his teammates back in Buffalo, and his thoughts on the changes among the WR group.
The receiver, now entering his third season with the Bills, says he feels he has a great grasp on the offense and good chemistry with quarterback EJ Manuel which gives him an advantage. You can hear the full version of Monday’s John Murphy Show, below:
