Growing up in Fort Myers, Florida Sammy Watkins wasn’t exactly in Bills country, but he was drawn to Buffalo’s team colors and their high-powered offense on football video games back in 2002 when Drew Bledsoe was throwing the ball all over the yard to Eric Moulds and Peerless Price.
“Just being a kid you like colors and I liked the red, white and blue,” said Watkins. “I liked all the receivers they had and Drew Bledsoe. As a kid you like all the best teams (on the video games) and they were one of the best teams. So I just used to play video games with them and beat everybody.”
