Bills RB C.J. Spiller is one of Sammy Watkins newest teammates. Having both played their college ball at Clemson they’ve crossed paths a lot over the past four years. Spiller was naturally over the moon about Watkins being added to Buffalo’s offense in round one of the 2014 NFL draft. He realizes that Watkins’ phone is probably blowing up, but here’s what he plans to tell Watkins when he gets a hold of him.
“First I’m just going to congratulate him. Just going through the draft and the process. I’ll just keep it brief because a lot of people are going to be calling him,” said Spiller. “A lot of texts and his social media will be blowing up. I’ll congratulate him and let him know that I’ll be back in town next week and if he needs a place to stay my home is always open to him. He can stay there if he wants. We’ll just keep it short and brief and let him enjoy it with his family because he deserves it.”
