Bills Controlling Owner and wife of Bills founder Ralph Wilson, Jr. will serve as the Honorary Chair of Party in the Park – A Tribute to Our Troops on August 19 at the Buffalo & Erie County Naval & Military Park.
A special plaque honoring Ralph Wilson, Jr. and his military achievements; Bob Kalsu, former Bill killed in action during the Vietnam War; and other honorees will be unveiled at an private reception.
Party in the Park, open to the public, will follow, starting at 6 p.m. featuring “The Strangers” band, food by the Liberty Hound, drinks and tours of the museums and ships. In addition, there will be an auction/raffle including autographed sports memorabilia, gift cards and more.
The event is co-organized with the Rotary Club of Buffalo and Rotary’s Chair Paul Marzello in honor of America’s veterans and as a thank you to the community that has given the Naval & Military Park 35 years on Buffalo’s waterfront. It’s the Park’s largest fundraiser of the year, going towards the revitalization of the ships, museum, educational programs and beautification of the waterfront.
