RB “Boobie” Dixon will be playing in his first game tonight as a Bill and though he’s done a lot in the offseason to show teammates how hard he’s willing to work to help the team succeed, he knows tonight’s preseason opener is where he can most effectively get his new teammates to trust him.
“That’s very important and I feel like it’s very important that I’m willing to fight for them and the organization no matter who we go up against because I’m new,” Dixon told Buffalobills.com. “We’re all working on building that trust with each other for when things gets hard so it’s step one.”
Dixon hopes their run game can set a tone tonight against the Giants, and for the hard hitting Dixon it’s more than just a preseason game.
“You’ve got to go out there and set the tempo and take it to them,” he said. “It’s not just a game to me, it’s a fight and that’s what I’m planning to do and turn it into a brawl.”
Dixon is expected to get a lot of work tonight after abbreviated appearances by Fred Jackson and C.J. Spiller.
