Tuesday night was TE Scott Chandler’s first practice in more than a week, as he returned from a groin injury. The team’s second preseason game is still a few days away, but the veteran tight end said he’s going to play Friday night in Charlotte.
“I’m a green light for Carolina yeah,” said Chandler.
The reason Chandler is so confident is because he felt he pushed it really hard over the weekend running a lot with athletic trainers, and came out of those workouts fine.
“I probably could’ve done some stuff late last week, but it was a better safe than sorry,” he said. “It’s a long camp and I was able to run full speed on Saturday and Sunday and got out and ran a little yesterday so I feel pretty confident. Just getting back in the swing of it I feel pretty good. I think I got enough time off where the groin healed. I’m just looking to get back in there and contribute.”
