Bills center Eric Wood was asked by the media if he feels the offense should be a little further along than they are at this point in terms of efficiency and execution. Wood in examining the game tape of the Hall of Fame game against the Giants believes there are some easy fixes to the things that slowed them down Sunday night.
“I’m not necessarily worried about where we’re at as an offense,” said Wood. “I have a lot of confidence with where we’re going. A lot of the mistakes were easily correctable. There were some mental errors and such, that moving forward will get corrected. It’s not necessarily guys getting beat as much physically as it is some mental stuff.”
Wood also warned not to pin any shortcomings of the offense on EJ Manuel.
“I think EJ [Manuel] has had a great camp so far,” he said. “It’s tough to get into a rhythm for two series and there were a couple batted balls that were on us. So, it’s kind of a group effort.”
