Bills TE Charles Clay will be facing his former Miami teammates for the first time this Sunday when Buffalo faces the Dolphins. For Clay however, the magnitude of Sunday’s game is rooted in the fact that it’s an AFC East opponent, not that he’ll be facing his former club.
“I’m not going to say it means extra,” said Clay. “I want to win this game just as bad as I want to win any other game. Granted, going back to where you played the last four years—I’m excited to get the chance to go back there and see some of my teammates. I made a lot of great friends there, and learned from a lot of great coaches. So it’s exciting to get a chance to go back there and see those places again. At the same time, I want to win this game just as bad as any other game.”
Clay said the bigger motivation is getting the team their first division win, especially after dropping a division game to New England last week.
