Bills RB LeSean McCoy, who is listed as probable and fully intends to play Thursday night, appeared on NFL Total Access this week and in addition to revealing his nickname of ‘Willie Beamen’ for Tyrod Taylor, also discussed how cerebral Taylor is in dissecting defenses on the field.
“The thing that people don’t know about Tyrod, he’s so intelligent,” said McCoy. “He’s always putting us in the right positions to win, formations, audibles, doing the right things as a quarterback. Having a guy like that in the locker room, especially on offense, you can build on it. He’s a heck of a player and that’s why he’s one of the best in this league.”
Beamen is the athletic quarterback in the movie ‘Any Given Sunday’ played by Jamie Foxx.
“I call him Willie, Willie Beamen,” said McCoy. “The kid can make plays with his feet.”
