The Bills have had their share of strong starts this season. Evidence of that comes in their first quarter point differential where they’ve scored 60 points this season and only given up 36. But as Manny Lawson maintains, games aren’t won in the first quarter.
As Lawson sees it the team has struggled to play 60 of consistent football this season and it’s why they’ve seen early leads evaporate by halftime.
“We as a team we have to finish. We have to learn how to finish,” said Lawson. “Last week we punched that team in the mouth and had a very good game early. But games aren’t won in the first quarter, they’re not won in the second quarter or the third. They’re won at the end when the clock is at triple zero. So that’s what we have to do. We have to finish, play our game, make adjustments and that’s how we’re going to come out with a victory.”
Buffalo is 2-1 this season against AFC South opponents.
