Stephon Gilmore has been one of the most consistent performers this season for Buffalo’s defense. On Sunday he left with a shoulder injury and did not return. Head coach Rex Ryan is taking a wait and see approach with his top cornerback before determining his availability for Sunday’s game in Philadelphia.
“We’ll see how it goes. He did leave with a shoulder. A lot of times when you don’t return to games it’s usually an indicator that it may be a stretch (to play the next week). But we’ll see how he feels,” said Ryan. “Obviously he’s a guy that if he can go we need him out there. He is a tremendous player for us.”
Ryan indicated that Gilmore was undergoing an MRI Monday. The only thing about Gilmore’s injury that Ryan did confirm was that it was not season ending.
