Buffalo’s injury list has some new additions this week, but a couple of players who missed the last couple of games are closer to returning.
TE Charles Clay was a no go in practice Wednesday after suffering a back injury last week. RB Karlos Williams and LB Nigel Bradham were both limited Wednesday. Williams admits his shoulder is still pretty tender. He also said it’s going to be difficult to determine how much punishment his recovering shoulder can take knowing there isn’t much contact in practice this time of year.
“You really don’t know. You don’t know,” he said. “If it happens it happens this Sunday. If not, you’ve got to wait another week and play the next opponent. It goes day by day.
“Today was a very good day for me. I felt really, really good, running and bumping it a couple of times. Working with Boobie on punt return and punt team you could feel the soreness in it and you know it’s real tender. But when the adrenaline is pumping and you want to go out there and perform at a high level. You’re going to get bumped and bruised and feel those pains. It’s a part of the game, but today it felt better, a lot better than it has been the past couple of weeks. We’re still trying to do a lot of treatment on it. We’ve still got a ways to go before I get back on the field. But hopefully it’s this week, if not this week the next.”
