He was carted off the field Sunday with a left knee injury. On Monday head coach Rex Ryan revealed just how severe the injury was for Marcus Easley.
“He should be back for next season, but this is a major, major injury,” said Ryan. “Obviously he’ll go on I-R. He dislocated his knee cap, but also broke his knee in three spots. A devastating injury there. However, they say he’ll be able to come back from it. It’s going to take time, but he should be fine. We all know how tough he is, but I heard that… they basically said it’s two different injuries. The knee cap comes out and then it breaks the knee. Expect him to go on I-R.”
It was obvious that Easley was in serious pain when he was being helped to the cart to take him to the locker room Sunday. When that roster move on Easley will be made remains to be seen.
