Tyrod Taylor didn’t know any of his new teammates after signing with the Bills last March. Likewise, none of his teammates knew if he was going to be the starting quarterback for the Bills come the fall. Now after Taylor had an impressive season as a first-year starter, Buffalo’s quarterback and his offensive playmakers plan to spend some time together in the offseason with player organized practices.
“The thing that changes (this offseason) is you get a chance to work with the guys you’re going to be playing with,” said Taylor. “I’m looking forward to working with these guys once everyone gets healthy and have time to go back to spend time with their families, I’m looking forward to getting in there and working with these guys. We’ll definitely get together. We’ve already talked about it and looking forward to it.”
“We’ll be getting a lot of time in the offseason throwing and catching with each other,” said Sammy Watkins. “I don’t know about his future here, but I can say I stand up for him. He’s a great player and a great leader for this team. He’s only going to get better. Every game you don’t have to worry about Ty making plays or working us out of situations. That’s what he came in to do. He’s going to put us in the right situations, he’s going to throw the ball down the field. He’s going to do his job.”
