The Senior Bowl practices are underway in Mobile and the level of talent on hand is impressive. Bills GM Doug Whaley believes the Senior Bowl just gets better and better with each passing year, despite the fact that the number of underclassmen declaring for the draft increases almost annually.
“I think it’s good,” Whaley told Buffalobills.com of the Senior Bowl talent. “There’s definitely depth here we didn’t have last year. We’re excited about the guys we’re going to be able to see, not only on offense but on defense. It’s cyclical. Sometimes you’ll have some years where it’s top heavy and sometimes you’ll have some years where it’s depth here. I think there’s a lot of depth here at the Senior Bowl this year.”
Whaley said areas of depth in this year’s draft class include defensive line, quarterback and receiver.
