In light of the commercials presented during Super Bowl 50, the Buffalo Bills remember one of their own.
In January, 1996 the Buffalo Bills and Head Coach Marv Levy debuted in one of Snickers popular “Not Going Anywhere for Awhile?” commercials. The comedic spot featured an enthusiastic Levy in the Bills locker room talking to the likes of quarterback Jim Kelly, running back Thurman Thomas and defensive end Bruce Smith. In the ad Levy expresses that he is proud of his team and receives agreement from the players.
“It was quite a year. In fact, you’ve convinced me that next year we can win it all.”
Levy goes on to exclaim, “So in that spirit, no one’s going anywhere until we figure out how!”
This time the declaration is met by a room full of blank stares, until the Bills players pull out their Snickers bars and take a bite.
