New assistant DBs coach Ed Reed will begin his coaching career in the NFL with the Bills. Despite not having any coaching experience the Bills weren’t the only team pursuing him.

According to a Courier-Journal report, the Kentucky Wildcats made inquiries with Reed to see if he’d be interested in joining their coaching staff as secondary coach. Wildcats head coach Mark Stoops, who coached Reed at the University of Miami, reportedly reached out to Reed to gauge his interest.

Per the report Reed informed Stoops that he prefers to begin his coaching career at the NFL level.
