By now everyone knows that Mario Williams has a cost prohibitive cap figure of almost $20M. In an offseason where the Bills have the least cap space of any team in the league, Williams contract will be addressed. How is the big question. Bills GM Doug Whaley is not closing the door on any option.
“We’ll be talking to his representatives and all options are open,” said Whaley. “We’re not going to back ourselves into a corner and say we’re going to do this or that. But we will do what’s best for the Buffalo Bills in the future.”
Clearing cap space is the top priority to enable them to re-sign offensive linemen Cordy Glenn and Richie Incognito. A big cap figure like Williams’ has to obviously be adjusted for that to be fiscally possible.
