Mario Williams has been a free agent for less than a week, but it appears the Miami Dolphins are making a push to get him signed sooner rather than later.
That according to Pro Football Talk, which cites Miami as the clear front runner for his services. Williams reportedly intended to visit four or five teams in short order, including the New York Giants, but if the money is right Williams will undoubtedly sign. The report indicates a deal could be consummated as soon as today.
Miami has been making moves to reduce their cap figure most recently restructuring the contract of TE Jordan Cameron. If they sign Williams it will presumably reduce their ability to sign other free agents.
