Buffalobills.com has confirmed that the offer sheet signed by RFA WR Chris Hogan with the New England Patriots will not be matched by the Bills.
The club has already confirmed with the League office that they will not match the Patriots offer.
With Buffalo’s tight cap situation committing more than the original tender offer of $1.67M was unrealistic.
Hogan’s performance against New England cornerbacks likely enhanced his value in the eyes of the Patriots as he had six catches for 95 yards in the second meeting at Foxboro last season.
With Hogan becoming Patriots property his $1.67M cap hit comes off the books for Buffalo.
