While in attendance at the 2016 NFL Digital Media Summit in Nashville, members of the Bills staff were proud to be recognized for their outstanding contributions in the digital media landscape. Named “Team of the Year” for the 2015 NFL season, the Bills were the first franchise to receive the prestigious award.
The Bills were celebrated for their accomplishments in the following areas:
-Top 5 in retention, time on site, and article engagement on buffalobills.com
-Top 10 in video views, video engagement and article views, across digital platform
-Have taken an active role in the NFL Reporting & Analytics committee for two years
-Best in class in promoting league initiatives such as Thursday Night Football, Color Rush, and the London series
-Ranked in the top half of the league for subscription products
Examples of Buffalo’s creativity and commitment to producing engaging content can be viewed through the team’s “Seeing Red” campaign, and Marcell Dareus’ London tribute to William Shakespeare.
The Bills also received acknowledgment for the heartwarming video of LeSean McCoy’s Make-A-Wish visit in Philadelphia, which was shared on Buffalo’s social media accounts. The footage took the internet by storm, and was recognized as the most shared video content across all NFL teams.
