The mock drafts have been going and going for the better part of the last three months. Now draft analysts are packaging their predictions differently. NFL.com draft analyst Daniel Jeremiah is pairing the top two picks of every team in the league and for the Bills he chose a pair of defensive players.
Jeremiah picked a defensive tackle and an outside linebacker with Buffalo’s first two choices at 19 and 49 in rounds one and two. Here was his assessment.
Jeremiah’s perfect draft pair: Mississippi State DT Chris Jones (Round 1, pick 19); Boise State OLB Kamalei Correa (Round 2, pick 49)
Jeremiah’s take: Jones just keeps moving up the more you watch him. He can get upfield and be ultra-disruptive. I think you can say of all the defensive tackles in this draft, his ceiling is right there at the top of the class. Correa is one of my favorite players in the draft. He’s very disruptive. This defense has to be better under Rex Ryan, as it was very disappointing last season. They would help themselves with these two picks.
