The trade that the Titans had been looking to make has come to fruition according to the NFL Network. The Los Angeles Rams have given up a king’s ransom to acquire the top pick in the draft to undoubtedly draft their future quarterback. Los Angeles was in dire need for a quarterback and moving to the top of the draft will accomplish that. Here are the terms of the trade.

The Rams gave up their first round pick (#15), both of their second round picks (#43 , #45) and their third round pick (#76) plus their 2017 1st and 3rd round picks. The Titans gave up their top pick (#1) their fourth round pick (#113) and a sixth round pick (#177).

Most reports indicate that the Rams target is North Dakota State QB Carson Wentz.

At first blush this looks like a win for Tennessee. They’ll be able to get a top offensive tackle with the 15th pick. The Titans still have four picks in the top 50 this year and will have a pair of first round picks next year.

For comparison sake, the Rams received three first round picks and a second round pick from Washington in the trade for the second overall pick in the 2012 NFL draft that helped Washington ultimately pick Robert Griffin III.
