We’ve been bringing you installments of the mock draft picks taking place for the Bills through a vast number of media outlets online over the last couple of months. Our final mock draft watch went up on draft day number one this morning. Below is a compilation of the most common picks for Buffalo for their first round selection at 19.
Here are the top five most popular selections for Buffalo at 19th overall by mock draft pickers.
DL Robert Nkemdiche – 18
DE/OLB Noah Spence – 15
LB Darron Lee – 11
DL Sheldon Rankins – 11
DL Shaq Lawson – 11
While I believe each of the last three are realistic picks for Buffalo, I don’t have a lot of confidence that Rankins or Lawson will still be on the board when the Bills are on the clock. Even Lee is a maybe to be there at 19.
Most people who follow the draft know there are off the field concerns and some on the field issues with Robert Nkemdiche and off the field stuff with Noah Spence. Whether that pushes them out of the first round completely remains to be seen. Both are very talented and without some character background issues they’d be sure fire first-round picks. I just wouldn’t be surprised if they’re not part of the discussion in round one for the Bills or a host of other teams due to risk.
