Bills second-round pick Reggie Ragland played in a defensive scheme at Alabama, that GM Doug Whaley claims will have a lot of carry over to Rex Ryan’s scheme in Buffalo. That will hopefully translate into a shorter learning curve for the physical linebacker. Either way Ragland is altogether anxious to get to work on the scheme with both head coach Rex Ryan and Assistant head coach Defense Rob Ryan.
“They’re great coaches,” said Ragland of the Ryans. “They love to joke around off the field. They love on you and do what they can for you and then once you get on the field it’s all business. I’m glad I’ve got a coach like that because I always wanted to play for coach Ryan, the Ryans actually, both of them. I’m getting an opportunity to do that so I’m really thankful and happy. Anytime you have the both of them together you know you’re going to have great schemes drawn up.”
