One of Baltimore’s best pass rushers will not be able to play on Sunday.
Elvis Dumervil, who is coming back from offseason foot surgery, told Ravens reporters that he suffered a setback in his recovery. Dumervil has been on the team’s PUP list, but was activated off that list on Aug. 22nd.
“It’s one of those things where your body kind of tells you when it’s ready,” Dumervil told ESPN.com. “So we’re all pushing. We wanted it to be Week 1, but unfortunately, it wasn’t.”
Albert McClellan is expected to be Dumervil’s replacement as starter in the lineup, but Za’Darius Smith and rookie Matt Judon are expected to see time in pass rushing situations.
Here’s a look at the rest of Baltimore’s practice report for Wednesday.
