Bills safety Aaron Williams did not sustain a concussion in taking that vicious hit from Miami’s Jarvis Landry last week, but he did suffer a neck injury. Knowing Williams had neck fusion surgery this past offseason, head coach Rex Ryan has concerns that his injury could prove to be long term.
“Yeah I think so,” said Ryan after Thursday’s practice. “I don’t think there’s any doubt that there are some long term concerns there.”
Ryan gave indication that Williams injury might be more of a week to week than day to day thing, but didn’t want to be pinned down on a specific timetable.
Williams missed a second straight day of practice and is unlikely to play Sunday against New England.
