He’s been on Buffalo’s roster for three weeks, his legs are back underneath him and the Bills offensive staff believes he’s ready for an expanded role in the team’s passing attack. But to expect a full workload on offense for Percy Harvin is not yet realistic.
Offensive coordinator Anthony Lynn confirmed that Harvin is likely to get the starting nod at receiver opposite Robert Woods. Expecting him to play the full complement of starter reps however, is another thing entirely.
“He’s going to get some opportunities. He’s probably going to start. He’ll start, but he’ll probably still be in a limited role because you can’t sit out a year and come back and jump in in two weeks and I think he saw that last week,” said Lynn. “But he’s doing some good things in practice and I’m looking forward to see him make some plays.”
