Fred Jackson open to retiring a Bill

Fred Jackson isn’t ready to retire as a pro football player. He is going to try to find his way into an NFL training camp this summer if he can, but if it’s not in the cards he hopes to retire as a Buffalo Bill.

Jackson, who spent 10 seasons with Buffalo, said it’s not even something he had to think about.

“It’s automatic,” Jackson told the Sioux Land News. “It has to be as a Buffalo Bill. I owe those guys everything. The fan base has by far stuck behind me the most, and still talk to me now. I love playing for those guys. As long as I can go sign that one day contract and retire as a Buffalo Bill, if they’re going to have me, I’d definitely love to do that.”

Jackson also said he likes Buffalo’s new head coach Sean McDermott. The former Bills back believes they have a lot of the pieces they need to be a successful team and that if they stay healthy they can contend for the postseason.
