Bills fifth-round pick Nate Peterman now has a former college teammate on the roster with him, except he didn’t go to Pitt.
Peterman, who spent his first two college seasons at Tennessee before transferring, was teammates with Bills undrafted free agent signing Jason Croom.
Croom and Peterman were teammates for two seasons in Knoxville. Croom caught almost half of his college receptions in his first two seasons for the Vols, so it’s likely at least a few of those came from Peterman, though he only completed 20 passes in his time at Tennessee.
Croom is a converted wide receiver, but can grow into his frame (6-5) to be a more effective in-line blocker. He ran a 4.69 40-time at his pro day.
