Big window giveaway if Bills shutout Dolphins

Posted by Anna Stolzenburg on September 10, 2014 – 10:49 am

miami-buffalo-matchup

As the Official Replacement Window & Patio Door Company of the Buffalo Bills, Renewal by Andersen teamed up with the Bills this summer to offer homeowners around Western New York the chance to get free custom made windows from the most recognized window brand in the country.

Known as the “The Big Win Window Giveaway,” the promotion gave Renewal by Andersen customers who purchased windows during the promotional period the chance to receive their entire order of windows for free if the Bills shut out Miami in the home opener this Sunday, September 14 at Ralph Wilson Stadium. Customers will get 100% of their money back if the Bills are successful in preventing Miami from scoring. No limits were placed on contracted amounts, so the more customers bought, the more they’ll get back.

Miami, a huge divisional rival, was shutout by the Bills last year, 19-0. Renewal by Andersen’s Creative Director Christine Salamone said, “Wouldn’t it be wonderful to shut out Miami again at the newly renovated Ralph Wilson Stadium with $1.5 million at stake? We feel the residents in Western New York deserve a break when choosing to invest in their home, and why not pair it with something exciting?”

Buffalo Bills fans and Renewal by Andersen customers will join together to cheer on the home team this Sunday in hopes that “The Big Win Window Giveaway”  will result in $1.5 million in free windows.

A Billiever for life wins Father’s Day contest

Posted by buffalobills.com on June 15, 2014 – 3:38 pm

atwal-fathers-day-header

Congratulations to the winner of the Atwal Father’s Day contest, Mike Glorioso who shared his story of his favorite Bills memory with his son.  Mike won an invitation for four to Bills practice where he will meet Coach Marrone and a $1,000 gift certificate from Atwal Eye Care.

fathersdayfangalleryMikeGlorioso

I attended every home game with my son (now 9 years old) but one game really stood out. One drive really. It was the Carolina game and we were down by 6 with under two to go. Carolina had the ball deep in Bills territory.

Lots of fans in our section were leaving and my son asked why. I said that they don’t think the Bills would pull it off and without hesitation he said “What? We have EJ. We’re going to march down and win.” Well the panthers go on 4th and inches. We stop them and get the ball with a long way to go. From the first play of the drive to the TD he knew this game was ours.

He was right and when they scored we were all jumping up and down, I knew we had a little billiever for life! I don’t think I ever saw him so happy and I loved seeing the raw faith he had in his Bills.

Bills fan one trade away from announcing with Andre

Posted by Anna Stolzenburg on May 17, 2014 – 3:06 pm

Last Saturday this time, Jordan Schwartz was waking up from what must have been a “did that really happen?” kind of week.

As the winner of Bud Light’s “Up For Whatever” contest – which he won for submitting the video above showing his Bills-outfitted apartment – Schwartz got to announce what was to be the Bills 41st overall pick, their first of the second round on Friday night.

Part of a packed three days of activities, announcing the pick was the highlight of his Bud Light behind-the-scenes draft experience that included a party with Andre Reed and other Bills and NFL alumni, tickets to the first night of the draft and a private tour of MetLife Stadium and Radio City Music Hall.

andre-jordan

“It was a very neat seeing the production of it all, seeing the draft works every step of the way,” Schwartz said. “Bud Light did a really great job making sure everyone was enjoying the whole weekend.”

When it was almost time for his main event on Friday night, Schwartz was understandably nervous. He’d heard the first night of the draft was watched in record numbers, and to be announcing the pick with Andre Reed in front of millions in the television audience? That’s any Bills fan’s most nerve-racking dream come true.

Minutes away from stepping on stage with Reed, the Bills traded their 41st overall pick to St. Louis and moved down three slots. Though arguably the biggest Bills fan in the room, Schwartz was slotted for the 41st pick no matter what, so he announced safety LaMarcus Joyner to the Rams.

“I was nervous all day but right when I got on stage I felt comfortable,” Schwartz said. “I spotted my friends in the crowd and once I saw them I was just enjoying the experience. Once I got up there the nerves went away. It would have been much better if it was the Bills and not the Rams but it was still an awesome experience.”

After he made the announcement, he said Commissioner Goodell told him he did a great job and autographed the draft card he read from, capping off his surreal “Up For Whatever” experience.

Bills featured in Draft Day movie

Posted by Anna Stolzenburg on April 11, 2014 – 5:37 pm

hackett-draftday

Without spoiling the plot, the Bills got some screen time in the new movie Draft Day as a potential trade partner for the Browns.

The scene features Bills CEO and President Russ Brandon in an office taking a call from Kevin Costner, the General Manager of the Browns. It was Russ Brandon’s acting debut, but he didn’t have to do much ‘acting’ as he played himself as the Bills President and CEO.

Bills wide receiver Ramses Barden also made the cut. He’s one of the players in the green room on the day of the Draft, and he talks more about his first acting opportunity here.

The movie hits theaters today, and last night the Bills celebrated with a special premiere for Bills club seat members and team personnel including Offensive Coordinator Nathaniel Hackett, pictured above and in this gallery of the evening.

Check out more in this behind-the-scenes look on the NFL’s involvement in the film:
