The NFL today announced the full list of team nominees for the Don Shula NFL High School Coach of the Year Award. Nominated by the Buffalo Bills, is Dunkirk High School varsity football coach Mike Sarratori. The award recognizes the very best at the high school level in terms of integrity, leadership and commitment to player healthy and safety.

This year, Sarrotori led the Dunkirk Marauders to their first sectional title in school history. The Marauders then defeated Batavia (Section V) in the state tournament to advance to the NYSPHSAA Class B semifinals. In recognition for the standout season, Sarrotori was selected as the Bills and ADPRO Sports High School Coach of the Year for the Buffalo region. On Dec. 18, Sarrotori and each of the Coach of the Week winners from both the Buffalo and Rochester regions were honored on-field prior to the Bills vs. Browns game.

In celebration of Sarratori’s accomplishments, he and the other 31 team nominees received a special invitation to the 2017 Pro Bowl in Orlando. During the week-long celebration the group will be able to visit Pro Bowl practices, participate in the USA Football National Conference and more. In addition to their exclusive Pro Bowl experience, two award finalists will each be given $15,000 from the NFL Foundation—where $10,000 will go to each recipient’s high school football program.

Season Ticket Member of the Game – Dave Errick

Posted by Kelly Baker on December 21, 2016 – 10:39 pm

Dave Errick, has been a loyal Bills Season Ticket Member for over 40 years. A Buffalo native, Errick has been attending Bills games since 1970 when he returned from serving in the Vietnam War and became a Season Ticket Member shortly after in 1972. When reflecting on the many Bills memories he’s made over the years, Errick fondly recalls two of his favorites. Like many Bills fans, “The Comeback Game” sits atop Errick’s list as one of the most memorable Bills games he’s attended. Another game that Errick vividly remembers, and describes as the most exciting, is the 1990 AFC Championship game against the Raiders.

“Probably the most exciting one was in 1991 — a playoff game when we played Oakland,” said Errick. “We won 51-3. It was super cold that game.”

Over the years, Errick has enjoyed watching a variety of Bills players take the field. His all-time favorite Bill is linebacker Darryl Talley and current favorite is defensive tackle Kyle Williams. For Errick, game days at New Era Field signify an opportunity to spend quality time with his family members and support the Bills. Each game, Errick makes sure to arrive early so that he can watch as the Bills warm-up before kickoff.

As a veteran, one important part of Errick’s game day experience is the singing of the national anthem.

“That’s always been one of my priorities (the national anthem)…especially being a veteran,” said Errick.

Errick has also come to enjoy the perks associated with being a Bills Season Ticket Member. His favorites include, the Bills Bucks Card and the user-friendly Account Manager.

Congratulations, Dave!

The Buffalo Bills would like to thank Dave for his many years of being a loyal Bills Season Ticket Member and our Season Ticket Member of the Game for the month of November. In addition to Dave being selected as a Season Ticket Member of the Game, he received two pregame on-field passes to the Bills versus Jaguars game on Nov. 27, a club seat upgrade, an autographed football, and select 2016 Bills merchandise.

Moving forward, if you would like to nominate a Season Ticket Member of the Month, email us the account number, name, and the reason for your nomination to Tickets@bills.nfl.net. Please use the subject line, “STM of the Month Nomination.”

Joanie DeKoker has been a valued Buffalo Bills Season Ticket Member since 2000. A dedicated Bills fan, DeKoker prides herself on attending both home and away games. Celebrating a milestone in her Bills history, the Bills vs. Patriots game on Oct. 30 marked DeKoker’s 100th consecutive game.

Reflecting on the fond memories she’s made throughout the years, DeKoker recalls Buffalo’s first Super Bowl (XXV) appearance as her favorite.

“I went to all of the Super Bowls—all four Super Bowls with my sister,” said DeKoker. “The first one that was my very first Super Bowl ever…you’re just so excited for all those four or five days—you’re just so excited to be there. I remember walking down the street going toward the stadium and the team bus just passed. That was so exciting…the whole Super Bowl experience was so much fun.”

Over the years, DeKoker has enjoyed watching several Bills players take the field. Her all-time favorite Bill is quarterback Daryle Lamonica and her current favorite is cornerback Stephon Gilmore.

“My favorite person is Daryle Lamonica because he’s the one that got me into football,” said DeKoker.  “I love the way he threw the long bomb. He’s known as the ‘Mad Bomber’ and I just thought it was so exciting.”

For DeKoker, an important part of game days at New Era Field is the tailgate.

“It’s really the tailgate,” said DeKoker. “Just being around everybody that has the same common interest. We all love the Bills. We all love the city of Buffalo and most of us grew up here. Just the comradery we have at the tailgate.”

In addition to the game day experience, DeKoker has come to enjoy the perks associated with her membership. Her favorite is the Bills Bucks Card.

Congratulations, Joanie!
