Season Ticket Member of the Game

Posted by Megan Zenger on December 11, 2017 – 12:36 pm

season ticket member 1

Buffalo Bills games have been a family affair for Mitchell Stone from the start. Stone first purchased two season tickets when the Bills welcomed quarterback Jim Kelly to the franchise in 1986. Being able to watch his all-time favorite player with his family and friends was all it took for Stone to fall in love with the Bills. 30 years later, Stone still makes his way to New Era Field each game day, surrounded now by his children, as well as some of his grandchildren.

Over the years, Stone has made countless memories as a fan. Like many diehard Bills fans, Stone vividly remembers The Comeback Game when the Bills beat the Oilers in overtime, allowing them to advance to the AFC Divisional Playoff Game and eventually earn a spot in Super Bowl XXVII.

“[The] best memory I have is being there with my boys,” stated Stone. “I can remember my son Scott asking me at halftime, ‘Dad do you think we have a chance?’ and I said, ‘Yeah if we come out and score’ and then Houston came out and scored.”

No matter the outcome, Stone and his family are there to see it all.

“Everything about the whole experience up there… it’s hard to describe,” stated Stone. “You’ve got 70,000 people with you. When it comes down to that last two minutes of the game, everyone is just going crazy. It’s fun to stop and look around and all your emotions just go up and down.”

Over the years, Bills football has been passed from generation to generation in the Stone family. As he attends tailgates at New Era Field, Stone relaxes with his grandchildren while his children make food for the whole crew.

Following the tailgate, Stone and his children make their way to the stadium to their seats and get ready to cheer on their current favorite Bills, running back LeSean McCoy, quarterback Tyrod Taylor and center Eric Wood.

As a Season Ticket Member, Stone has enjoyed many perks throughout the years. His favorite is the Bills Bucks Card, which he regularly uses throughout the season.

Season Ticket Member of the Game-Robert Beach

Robert-Beach-STM-Game-1

Over the past 32 years, North Tonawanda native, Robert Beach, has made numerous memories as a Buffalo Bills Season Ticket Member. From attending three Super Bowls, to traveling to away games in Indianapolis or Nashville, Beach has remained a dedicated and loyal fan.

All it took for Beach to fall in love with the idea of being a Bills Season Ticket Member, was one look at a perfect pair of seats on the upper deck of the 35-yard line back in 1986.

“We just had to take them,” stated Beach.

Since then, Beach has shared his love for the Bills with those around him. From watching the first season opener with his cousin, to attending current games with his son who sits beside him and his daughter who sits a few rows back, Beach views game days as an opportunity to spend quality time with his loved ones.

Throughout the years, Beach has cherished his time as a Bills fan. When he reminisces on moments such as Buffalo’s first Super Bowl appearance and the day his daughter took her wedding pictures in the ADPRO Sports Training Center, he is filled with happiness.

Beach has also enjoyed cheering on his all-time favorite players, quarterbacks Joe Ferguson and Jim Kelly, as well as his current favorite player, defensive tackle Kyle Williams.

“He is the epitome of what these guys should be,” stated Beach of Williams. “He’s just a class act all the way around.”

If he were to pick his favorite part about Sundays at New Era Field, it would be the one-of-a-kind atmosphere and the tailgates with his family and friends.

“Watching the players on the sideline, whopping and hollering, sends a chill down your spine,” stated Beach.

As a Season Ticket Member, Beach appreciates the many perks that accompany his membership. His favorite benefit is his personal Account Representative.

Congratulations, Robert!

The Buffalo Bills would like to thank Robert for his many years of being a dedicated Bills Season Ticket Member and our Season Ticket Member of the Game. Season Ticket Member of the Game- William Hein II

Posted by Megan Zenger on October 30, 2017 – 9:40 am

William-Hein

It was 1960, the very first year the Buffalo Bills played in the American Football League, when William Hein first purchased season tickets for his family. After spending a season sitting through every different kind of weather imaginable, his son, William Hein II, became hooked. Over the past 57 years, the season tickets were passed from father to son, creating a long-standing tradition of Bills football.

“I grew up with football all the time,” stated Hein II, who regularly attended Ohio State football games where his father was the announcer, as well as Bills games.

One of his favorite memories was traveling by limo to a Bills Monday night game. Aside from the VIP transportation, Hein II had the opportunity to witness football from the press box where his father assisted in announcing the game – a behind-the-scenes perspective few fans ever witness.

Over the years of watching his all-time favorite players, specials teams legend Steve Tasker and defensive end Bruce Smith, his love for the Bills only grew.  He distinctly remembers the AFC Championship game when the Bills beat the Raiders, earning a spot in Super Bowl XXV.

“Not many people remember how cold it was,” stated Hein II. “My drink froze by the time I got back to my seat.”

Though he no longer lives in Buffalo, Hein II still travels from South Carolina when he can to attend a game. These days, he enjoys cheering on guard Richie Incognito. Like many other Bills fans, his favorite part of game day is the tailgate. When the Hein family makes a trip to New Era Field, they make a weekend out of it. They take the time to catch up with friends in the RV lot on Saturday and then cook special food for an early tailgate on Sunday.

As a Season Ticket Member, Hein II enjoys many of the perks that accompany his membership. If he had to pick a favorite benefit, it would be his personal Account Representative.

Congratulations, William!

The Buffalo Bills would like to thank William for his many years of being a dedicated Bills Season Ticket Member and our Season Ticket Member of the Game. In addition to William being selected as a Season Ticket Member of the Game, he received two pregame on-field passes to the Raiders versus Bills game on Oct. 29, a club seat upgrade, an autographed item and select 2017 Bills merchandise.

If you would like to nominate a Season Ticket Member of the Game, please fill out the form located here.
