Gamecock’s Ace Sanders declares for draft

South Carolina all-purpose threat Ace Sanders was one of the last college underclassmen to declare for the NFL draft and got best wishes from his former college teammate Stephon Gilmore.

Gilmore encouraged Sanders to work hard with a tweet to his former college teammate.

Sanders became the 75th underclassman to declare for the 2013 NFL draft. It’s the highest number of underclassmen ever in a draft pool. At 5’8″ and 175 his size will push him down the draft board, but with players like Jacquizz Rodgers and Trindon Holliday able to find a niche in the league, it’s expected that Sanders will as well.
