Report: Bills interested in FA TE Fasano

Posted by Chris Brown on March 12, 2015 – 8:19 am

A day after the release of veteran TE Scott Chandler, the Bills are reportedly interested in another veteran tight end who is available on the free agent market.

Kansas City free agent TE Anthony Fasano is reportedly a player the Bills have targeted. That according to Fox Sports Mike Garafalo.

Fasano paid a free agent visit to the Titans on Tuesday, but no hard core contract negotiations have materialized according to reports. He’s also reportedly visited with Cincinnati.

Fasano, 31, has been a Bills killer as an opponent both with the Dolphins and Chiefs over the years. In his 13 career games agains the Bills he has 27 catches for 295 yards and four touchdowns along with a 10-3 record.

TE Fasano has ankle problem

Posted by Chris Brown on November 17, 2011 – 10:57 am

Miami TE Anthony Fasano was not able to practice Wednesday for the Dolphins. His absence would prove costly for Dolphins if he’s unable to play on Sunday.

“Obviously it concerns me when a guy doesn’t practice,” said Dolphins head coach Tony Sparano. “We’ll see where Anthony is (Thursday). We got plenty of time before the game right now.”

Fasano has been a surprising big play threat for the Dolphins as he leads the team in receiving average with 16.7 yards per reception. Miami split him out wide this past week and he had three catches for 60 yards in their win over Washington. The week prior his only two catches went for touchdowns in a 31-3 rout of the Chiefs.
