Report: Cards not expected to draft QB at 7

The Bills are certainly going to be in the market for a quarterback in the 2013 NFL draft, possibly as early as their eighth overall pick in round one. Following the Cardinals’ acquisition of free agent QB Drew Stanton, one reporter believes that Arizona will not use their pick at 7, one ahead of the Bills, on a quarterback.

That according to NFL.com’s Ian Rapaport.

The Cardinals have Stanton, John Skelton, Ryan Lindley and Brian Hoyer on their roster. They’re expected to move Kevin Kolb off their roster. Rapaport also points out that the quarterback coaching for the Cardinals has improved noticeably with Bruce Arians as head coach, Tom Moore as an offensive assistant along with QB coach Freddie Kitchens. So it’s providing a feeling that the young quarterbacks they have in the fold can be more effectively developed.

Carolina interested in Evans

According to a report by the Gaston Gazette, the Carolina Panthers are another team interested in Bills WR Lee Evans.

Gazette beat reporter Steve Reed posted the following on his twitter account.

carolinagrowl A source from outside the Panthers organization tells me the team has inquired about for Buffalo WR Lee Evans. Interest level unclear.

The Panthers just lost their deep threat WR for the season in David Gettis, who tore an ACL yesterday in practice. Reed goes on the report that Arizona is still interested in acquiring Evans.
