Anderson, Searcy out for Sunday

DE Mark Anderson was trying to get back from a torn lateral meniscus suffered in Week 5, but after a pair of knee surgeries it just wasn’t responding. He’ll miss the season finale against the Jets as he’s been declared out for Sunday’s game.

S Da’Norris Searcy is also out for Sunday’s game with a groin after he failed to practice all week. Here’s the rest of Buffalo’s injury status report for the Jets game.

Byrd, Levitre, Kyle update

Jairus Byrd, Andy Levitre and Kyle Williams all got back on the practice field, but no one was full go.

“Most everybody that was out yesterday did something today,” said head coach Chan Gailey. “Most of them were limited today and didn’t take every rep, but they practiced.”

Dareus limited with additional ailment

Marcell Dareus was one of a host of Bills players that was limited in practice Tuesday, but along with his shoulder ailment, he’s also dealing with another injury.

A hamstring problem was also added to the list of injuries the defensive tackle is dealing with. It’s not expected to keep him out of Thursday night’s game. Here is Buffalo’s updated Tuesday injury report

4 Bills don’t practice

It was just a walk through practice, but four Bills didn’t participate.

Chris Kelsay, Aaron Williams, Mark Anderson and Fred Jackson were the non-participants. Only Kelsay has a chance to play. Chan Gailey called him 50-50 for Thursday night.

Spencer, Urbik still limited

DT Kyle Williams and WR Stevie Johnson weren’t the only limited participants in practice Thursday.

For the second straight day DL Spencer Johnson (ankle) and G Kraig Urbik (foot) were limited in practice. Head coach Chan Gailey however, doesn’t sound concerned about the availability of either player for Sunday’s game at New England.

“They were limited today, but performed well,” said Gailey following Thursday’s practice.

Also limited in practice Thursday was DE Shawne Merriman with a chest injury. He was a new addition to the injury report along with Chris Kelsay and his neck injury.
