Kyle knows new Nike unis
Posted by on April 5, 2012 – 12:46 pmBills DT Kyle Williams and just about every other defensive lineman in the NFL is undoubtedly happy about Nike taking over as the official outfitter of the NFL. We’ll explain why in a minute, but Williams is all too familiar with the Nike brand having worn it at LSU.
“I wore that fabric in college,” Williams told Buffalobills.com via text. “Much better than what we had been wearing.”
With Nike’s shrink wrap type fit to the jerseys it’s going to be a lot harder for offensive linemen to get a fistful of a defensive lineman’s jersey.

The other Nike uniform tweak
Posted by on April 3, 2012 – 1:57 pmHere’s one of the other changes Nike made to Buffalo’s uniform with respect to the pants.
Nike added mesh along the outside of the legs along the striping for better “thermoregulation” as Nike described it. Here’s a good look at it. You can also see some of the base layer padding included in the uniform’s makeup along the belt line and the front of the hip. In addition there is some mesh at the base of the front of the jersey.

Bills’ Nike collar NOT all white
Posted by on April 3, 2012 – 12:04 pmThough some photos of George Wilson at today’s Nike unveiling in the new Bills Nike uniforms make it appear as though the collar is all white, except at the ‘V’ of the neck line, that is not the case. Here’s a closer look to show that the blue and red are still part of the collar color combination.
The royal, red, white combination remains intact except in the ‘V’ portion of the neck line since that is where the Nike Flywire fabric is located to prevent jerseys from sliding off of shoulder pads during tackles. It’s likely that the new jerseys, which have a shrink wrap fit, fit so snug that the blue and red along the edge of the neck line were pulled under the edge of the neck line and not visible on George today.
