Bills QB EJ Manuel has really settled in at practice the last two days. His internal clock is more aware of the rush, he’s making his way through progressions and he’s delivering the football with more decisiveness. On Thursday he uncorked a 40-yard pass on the money to Sammy Watkins, who was streaking down the left sideline. Watkins pulled in the over the shoulder pass and kept on running another 58 yards to the end zone. Here was Manuel’s take on the play.
“I just dropped back and threw it and he ran a great route and he ran that against Gilmore and that says a lot,” said Manuel. “Being backed up that’s kind of your dream as a QB to have a chance at a 99-yard touchdown reception. Sammy did a good job of stacking him and it was a huge play for us.”
